… yet to come …

Ok, now when I’m leaving Australia I’ll write about all the things I’m actually going to miss a lot… 🙂

People, our wonderful friends..! Of course that’s on top of the list. Some of them went home to their own countries already (like the MacLean family, the Chalfant family, Martin -and a lot of other Scandinavians, Pascale, Phil & Debbie…. please forgive me if I forget some one) and some are staying on -for a while or ”forever” (like the Scott family, Anette & Benny & Jakob, Miko, Adam, Prisca & Fernando, the Leeman family, the McElroy family, the Skogoy family, Trine -and a lot of other Scandinavians… ;), Rosie, Minna, Jonna, Jo, Charis, Leah and of course all ”our” other Filipino-people…. I can’t mention every person that got stuck in our minds and hearts).

Hillsong… with all the marvelous people (that are so willing to help out in every way and serve God with whatever), the good teaching, the generosity, the encouragement, the positive attitudes, great praise and worship… It is so great with a church and college where people encourage you and believe in you as they do at Hillsong. Blessed to be a blessing, truely.

The Nature, especially the mountains… And I will miss having sunshine every single day..!

Sydney is a beautiful, exciting city, and I truely love it! I already picked a street where I would like to live (in the center of the city) if I’d ever come back to stay… 😉 I’ll miss being able to take the ferry in to the city and stroll along the pier in Darling Harbour or at Circular Quey (or any other beautiful part of the big city) -in sunshine, any time of the year.

One thing that me and my closest friends reminded eachother about a lot before I left Finland (since I/we didn’t know at that point for how long I would be gone) was that ”the best is yet to come”… (It’s funny, actually, how that has been a ”theme” for this year at Hillsong too. Pastor Brian says that a lot.) And it is so true..! When we follow Jesus we know that whatever comes our way -good or bad- the best is yet to come. Sometimes, when you have to be away from people you love it’s hard to really understand it though -you just have to make a decision to trust. It’s all about trusting him, believing in Him and believing that what He says is true and that He will do what He promised. 🙂

Tonight we’ve been to Christmas dinner at Doonside with the Filipino Extension Service. It was a great party with good food and music and we got to say goodbye to ”our” Filipino People (btw, I’m transforming into one -just ask them…)! I almost didn’t cry… ok I cried a little. Charis made me. 😉

Miss you all already and I’m not even on the plane yet…

-Next year in Finland..! And at Hillsong Conference. 🙂 Be blessed!
